Position Summary

 

Sr. Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting SCCM infrastructure in its entirety. Additionally will be responsible for supporting our primary data center in Las Vegas, our Disaster Recovery site, Global Remote Sites and users. Responsibilities will include management of VMware, Backups, Storage, Active Directory, Databases, Windows & SCCM infrastructure, Alerts, Monitoring and IT tickets

 

Sr. Systems  Administrator must understand and adhere to companies ISMS policies and procedures. Sr. Systems Administrator will be part of the global team and will be responsible to identify the infrastructure requirements, propose solution, take a lead and keep up with growing and dynamic environment needs.

 

Sr. Systems  Administrator will be required to demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and superior communication and organization skills essential in fostering excellent relationships with our clients.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Microsoft System Center Suite – patch management, application packaging & distribution, troubleshooting, OSD, task sequencing, deployment testing, log files analysis and reporting
  • Manage and maintain server, storage and virtual infrastructure which includes VMware Hyper Visor, SRM, EMC and Dell SANS, Direct Attached Storage, Blade Servers
  • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot and report backups of VMs, Servers, Databases and Files Shares through Backup Exec, vRanger, Double-Take and Netwrix
  • Work closely with other departments to build and troubleshoot virtual systems, and provide network access
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot systems with Solarwinds and Nagios
  • Manage and maintain Servers, DFS, Active Directory, DHCP and DNS infrastructure
  • Load balance power and manage UPS and PDUs
  • Rotational on-call support
  • Lead & timely completion of Projects
  • Superior customer service

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

Minimal Qualifications   

  • Advanced understanding of SCCM 2012/2016 Hierarchy
  • Excellent SCCM troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to create Advertisement/Collections/Packages/Applications within SCCM 2012/2016 environment
  • Skills to deploy all of above
  • Advance knowledge of scripting and automating patch distribution
  • Patch management
  • Experience in reporting with SCCM 2012/2016
  • MCTS – Administering and Deploying SCCM 2012
  • Experience with SCOM & SCUP
  • Experience with Enterprise Backup software
  • Building, configuring, and managing Microsoft Windows servers
  • Experience managing and designing Active Directory architecture and replication
  • Experience utilizing Powershell to automate common functions
  • Scripting, MCSE, ITIL Preferred
  • Shift & on-call rotation support
  • Off-hours maintenance support

   

Education

  • Bachelor in Computer Science or related field
  • Professional Certifications (MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA A+, VMware) preferred
  • MCTS SCCM Certification is a must

 

Experience  

  • 10+ years working with Microsoft SCCM
  • 10+ years working with large server environment
  • 5+ years working with VMware

  • 5+ years with SAN, DAS

  • 5+ years with backup and restores
  • 3+ years with scripting
  • 3+ years with logging and monitoring

 

  

Skills  

  • Microsoft Windows Server, SQL, SCCM, DNS, DHCP, AD & ADFS 
  • Patch management & compliance reporting using SCCM
  • VMware & Linux Administration
  • SAN & DAS, Storage Management
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting
  • Experience troubleshooting complex systems issues
  • Experience with monitoring and log management
