Position Summary

 

As the VP, Corporate Marketing, you will grow and lead a talented Marketing Communications team to build the Rimini Street brand across global markets, successfully promote the company and its clients through traditional, digital and social media, and develop and execute a strong content marketing strategy.    

 

This role reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and is a tremendous opportunity to make a huge, direct impact on the success of Rimini Street’s aggressive growth objectives as a pre-IPO Company.  The Company is seeking candidates that can drive all needed execution details, including building out the Global Marcom team with leadership and vision; strong strategy, planning, project management and overall proven delivery skills.  Experience across the breadth of Global Marcom functions is a must.

 

In this role you will move seamlessly from crafting and executing a visionary plan for the global team to helping individual team member “get it done” and back again.  This marketing leader will not only be able to define the vision for the marketing communications team and lead the team to success, but also have a very strong ability to execute at the detailed level.  You will lead with confidence and earn the team’s respect because you’ve demonstrated you are expert throughout all aspects and levels of the lead generation/business development process.

 

Qualified candidates will have a proven track record of successfully building and guiding global marketing communications teams.  This senior member of the marketing team will be a strong leader with experience across the diverse set of capabilities required to ensure team more than achieves its goals, including content marketing, public and analyst relations, brand development, creative, digital marketing, social media, B2B marketing, and thought leadership campaigns.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

The Vice-President, Corporate Marketing leader will focus on the following essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Define the Marketing Communications vision and strategy
  • Build, manage and lead an experienced global marketing communications team to achieve identified objectives
  • Work closely with the Marketing leadership team to define the strategic objectives for all of marketing and build strong working relationships based on trust and delivery with the broader team
  • Build an industry leading content marketing program that drives awareness of Rimini Street, the related business challenges, and how Rimini Street can help, while also engages prospects in a valued dialogue with the Company
  • Define and deploy best practices processes for supporting the broad array of creative requirements from the marketing team
  • Drive creation and maintenance of web, print and related content to meet the global needs of our sales and support teams
  • Work with internal and external experts to create and execute a public relations strategy that builds on the tremendous success of Rimini Street clients
  • Create a digital and social media marketing plan that expands the reach and recognition of Rimini Street and educates the market on the independent support option
  • Serve as Company spokesperson as needed for certain media, analyst and public speaking engagements
  • Passionately lead the Marketing Communications team to more than achieve their defined objectives
  • Stay abreast of and educate the team on industry leading best practices and methodologies, and ensure these are adopted as appropriate into our marketing communications processes

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred

Experience  

  • Minimum 10+ years of Marketing Communications leadership experience

 

Minimal Qualifications  

Top candidates will be well-versed and experienced in lead generation/business development processes and have a verifiable track record of successfully leading teams. 

 

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Exceptional achievement in B2B marketing in a global, high growth environment, preferably targeting IT executives with technology, enterprise software and services solutions
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to craft the perfect simple positioning statement or a more extensive pitch deck
  • Passion for building and leading Marketing Communications teams
  • Strength in content marketing best practices and tactics with the ability to guide team members in how to successfully learn and deploy these best practices
  • Strength in working with varied groups including executive management, sales, operations, and marketing teams
  • Experience working with a global marketing team, including team members located in EMEA, Asia-Pacific and Latin America
  • Energy and work ethic required to enthusiastically tackle and achieve huge goals and objectives in a pre-IPO company growing at a fast rate
