Position Summary 

 

The Sales Development Representative is an entry level position for the Sales Development Organization in Marketing to provide support to Sales Account Executives through the creation of leads. As a lead generater, it’s your job to set up appointments and find potential clients for the sales team. This position responds to inbound inquiries and generates outbound activity to companies to introduce Rimini Street support services. The primary tool for this role is telephone but also email and social media campaigns. This is a quota bearing position with lead target goals.  

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

 

  • Place outbound calls to qualify Rimini Street services through marketing campaign follow-up and cold calling.
  • Set appointments with prospects.
  • Handle all inbound inquiries and qualify.
  • Articulate the Rimini Street value proposition and negotiate initial objections as a part of scheduling appointments.
  • Conduct phone pre and post outreach campaigns for marketing events.
  • Achieve quota of number of highly qualified leads per month and then conversion to an opportunity.
  • Develop and execute territory lead generation plans.
  • Maintain lead process workflows in Salesforce.com.
  • Work within a team environment and work independently.
  • Call at all levels within a business organization and determine decision maker.
  • Remain current on information regarding Rimini Street services for enterprise software.

 

 

Additional Duties & Responsibilities 

  • No sales development experience required but minimum experience in high-tech, services or enterprise software preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Enterprise Software, SaaS, IT Infrastructure is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in outbound calling and/or business development preferred but not required.
  • Confident and polished phone and email prospecting skills with companies of all sizes.
  • Demonstrated ability in attaining measurable goals.
  • Knowledge and experience working with a salesforce.com, Discover.org, One Source, Inside View and LinkedIn.
  • Self directed and team oriented work habits.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills.
  • Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail).

 

 

 

 

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

 

Educational Requirements:

 

  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience preferred. 

 

Required Skills & Experience:

 

  • 0-1 years sales development/lead qualification/telesales/inside sales or related experience in a B2B outbound environment.
