Position Summary

Rimini Street is expanding its sales force to enable it accelerate its growth and meet the demand of the market.  The Vice President, Sales will be responsible for achieving Rimini Street’s aggressive sales goals in the North America East, and will lead and grow the sales team as part of Rimini Street’s continued expansion. Rimini Street has been very successful throughout the US, with 2016 sales invoice growth exceeding 40 percent.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in building new markets and leading a North America East-based based team for a high-growth software or software-related services company with annual revenues of at least $250 million. Candidates should be charismatic executives, possess an entrepreneurial spirit and have experience “hunting” and opening new accounts with a proven track record of sales excellence managing teams that exceed quota. Other important considerations include experience selling ERP software solutions for SAP and Oracle and being well connected in the SAP and Oracle space across North America East. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Grow, lead and manage Rimini Street’s North America East Sales Team
  • Exceed quota targets every quarter
  • Collaborate with Leadership Team in setting sales strategy and growth objectives
  • Recruit, train and develop sales staff
  • Represent and present Rimini Street at Regional CIO and Analyst conferences
  • Guide prospects to the Rimini Street solution through a Solution Selling approach
  • Prepare and provide weekly forecasts to SVP, Global Sales
  • Ensure that sales activities are updated, current and tracked in Salesforce.com

  • Travel plays a part in this role. Expect the Vice President to travel as needed (about 25%) for sales opportunities

Minimal Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required   


  • New York Metro Area or Boston preferred


  • 10+ years’ experience  selling enterprise software and services and "building new markets or businesses" either in start-up environments or working for international enterprise software companies
  • 5+ years in a sales vice president or equivalent role with a proven track record of driving strong sales results against target plans. Prefer experience overseeing high growth software or software-related services businesses
  • Team selling environment.  You  should have proven experience in team-selling, as this role will require you to spend at least 50% of your time selling with your team and helping them develop, manage and close sales deals
  • Proven experience in opening new accounts, which includes cold-calling and lead prospecting and development
  • Experience managing teams of quota bearing high-volume sales reps across multiple states. Specifically, sales management experience in the corporate market and Enterprise markets with focus selling to Enterprises larger than $1B in annual revenues


  • Strong sales management fundamentals- understanding sales methodologies including      solution selling, team selling, the Salesforce.com application and sales motivations
  • Sales compensation plans and models
  • Cold-calling, lead prospecting and development
