Position Summary


The Public Relations Specialist will assume responsibility for Rimini Street’s awards calendar, social media “Tweet Sheet” development, and managing our regional agencies’ monthly reporting. This position also includes helping to run our “news engine,” press release and byline content development, technology and vertical industry media pitch development, and support for our analyst relations program. The successful candidate will work with and collaborate with the global communications team, global PR agencies that Rimini Street has engaged, corporate marketing, product marketing and demand generation. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Public Relations.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities


The selected candidate must be able to communicate strongly and effectively the Rimini Street story – a successful market disrupter with over 1,330 active clients including some of the most recognized brands in the world. He/she must have critical thinking skills, and be able to dive into the details to get things done. He/she is someone who collaborates well with colleagues, has a can do attitude, and has the ability to execute numerous projects simultaneously. Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Help mine and create news stories, above and beyond the press release cycle
  • Help develop press releases, award submissions, byline articles, blogs etc. for internal and external use
  • Support press events and activities across geographies, including the US, UK, France, Israel, Brazil, Australia, Korea, Taiwan and Japan
  • Monitor company and competitor presence regularly, as well as industry trends, flagging both issues and opportunities
  • Support product marketing announcements, corporate marketing activity, and demand generation activities
  • Monitor and report effectiveness of the communications program on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Prepare media briefing books and briefing sheets
  • Prepare monthly coverage reports, coverage updates, weekly AR/PR reports and slide summaries as requested
  • Research and update tracking documents for awards, analyst interactions, media contacts, etc.
  • Create and maintain media and analyst contact lists, databases and editorial calendars
  • Support Rimini Street’s regional PR agencies


Minimal Qualifications 

  • Bachelor degree required



  • Pleasanton, CA



  • 1-3 years of technology B2B public relations experience. Experience working with large enterprise companies such as Oracle, SAP, Saleforce.com, etc., a plus



  • Effective communications with an emphasis on writing
  • Strong grammar and spelling
  • Detail-oriented and well organized; able to adapt to changing situations with ease
  • Highly self-motivated individual who enjoys working under limited supervision
  • Effective problem solver with a strong work ethic, sense of urgency and desire to succeed
  • Social media communications experience
  • Attention to detail with an ability to meet tight timelines while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to work with various constituencies including customers, partners, media, industry analysts, financial analysts, and internal teams
  • Global communications experience a plus
  • Word, PowerPoint, Excel skills; experience working with online PR tools, including media databases such as Cision
