Position Summary

 

As the Manager of Sales Development you will grow and lead a North America team of talented sales development representatives to deliver qualified leads to help achieve Rimini Street’s sales objectives. 

 

This critical leadership role is a key contributor in building and executing a sales development plan to hit company lead targets.  The ideal candidate thinks strategically but also executes plans with a sense of urgency required to meet our aggressive goals. The ideal candidate is a team player, working in close collaboration with both marketing and sales to hit the targets.  This manager is actively involved in ensuring the success of the individuals on their team. The ideal candidate will lead with confidence through demonstrated expertise in all aspects of the sales development process including the latest technologies and methodologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with VP and Sales Development management team to build outbound prospecting campaigns
  • Manage, lead and support an experienced lead generation team to over achieve assigned lead quotas
  • Interview and hire top talent to join the sales development team
  • Onboard and train new sales development representatives with process, content and system skills
  • Partner with the field sales organization to ensure goals, deliverables and expectations are aligned and met
  • Weekly communications with sales executives and sales operations on lead attainments
  • Define and deploy best practice prospecting methodologies and processes across all aspects of the lead generation workflow
  • Work with Sales Development Team Leads on coaching and mentoring individual contributors
  • Analyze and segment target markets and develop appropriate messaging and tools to support
  • Collaborate with product marketing to ensure the team is fully trained in the various products supported
  • Collaborate with Demand Gen and Marketing Operations campaign communication and hand-off
  • Passionately engage with the Sales Development team in day-to-day, hands-on prospecting activities to demonstrate best practices and show how results can be achieved
  • Leverage marketing operations for metric reporting and systems update needs
  • Monitor and report on lead quota attainment on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Stay abreast on industry best practices, technologies and methodologies and ensure these are adopted as appropriate into our lead generation processes

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

Location

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred

 

Experience 

  • Minimum 3+ years of Sales Development/Lead Generation/Inside Sales experience including individual contributor and leadership roles
  • Fluent in English a requirement, multi-language fluency desired but not required

 

Minimal Qualifications 

 

Top candidates will be well-versed and experienced in Sales Development processes and have a verifiable track record of successfully leading teams.

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience working with multi-lingual and multi-cultural teams, supporting different countries across Asia Pacific
  • Experience in targeting IT executives with technology, enterprise software and services solutions
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to craft the perfect simple prospecting email or in-depth CIO objection response
  • Passion and experience in leading Sales Development teams
  • Expertise in prospecting best practices and tactics with the ability to train team members in how to successfully learn and deploy these best practices
  • Strength in working with cross functionally including executive management, sales, operations, and marketing teams
  • Energy and work ethic required to enthusiastically tackle and achieve huge goals and objectives in a fast growth company
