Position Summary


This position is responsible for marrying in-depth product (SAP Payroll) expertise with the latest tax and regulatory changes to produce system impact specifications and test strategies for Development & QA. The position will follow each tax and regulatory change from discovery through successful translation into an application update. This role is vital in providing high quality deliverables to our clients and keeping their mission-critical enterprise applications compliant.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth functional knowledge of SAP Payroll.
  • Ability to articulate business requirements clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work within the Agile approach
  • Provide Australian & NZ Payroll/HR subject matter and functional expertise
  • Ensure total product compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations through the analysis of each tax and legislative change and production of Business Analysis & Functional specifications (as required)
  • Organization and communication of such information, clearly disclosing the details needed for product specialists and subscribing clients to make necessary system changes when necessary
  • Serve as a liaison between the APAC Tax and Regulatory team and the Development & QA teams as well as our total client base, ensuring accurate dissemination of information.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure adherence to the functional specification and that all requirements are being satisfied
  • Formulate test strategies, review test plans, and perform system tests working with the QA team to ensure high quality deliverables



Additional Duties and responsibilities

  • Liase with Rimini Street clients regarding upcoming changes and requests for information reqquired to complete updates
  • Participate in Onboarding calls as required for new SAP clients 
  • Participate in occasional sales meetings where deep product knowledge may be required



Minimal Qualifications  


Certified Scrum Master


  • Remote - Australia



  • Undergraduate degree in Business Information Systems or similar discipline


  • Minimum 10 years on SAP Australian Payroll (configuration, functional)
  • Experience on SAP NZ Payroll; other countries looked upon favourably
  • Experienced in Agile (2 + years), preferably a Certified Scrum Master
  • Experience working in Jira for Agile (preferred not mandatory)
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various teams based in the APAC region and globally as required
  • Have a client focussed or consultative approach
  • Be committed to excellence and high quality standards
  • Capable of leading a team if required or mentoring more inexperienced BA’s if necessary
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines, remaining calm under pressure
  • Ability to work remotely/virtually with other team members and travel occasionally for project team meetings if required
