Position Summary

 

This position is responsible for providing leadership and support to the APAC Payroll Business Analysts on internal processes, business requirements and design guidance for Payroll and HR legislative updates.

 

This will be combined with marrying in-depth product (PSFT Global Payroll) expertise with the latest tax and regulatory changes to produce system impact and design specifications and test strategies for Development & QA. The position will follow each tax and regulatory change from discovery through successful translation into an application update. This role is vital in providing high quality deliverables to our clients and keeping their mission-critical enterprise Application’s compliant.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide mentoring and leadership to the APAC Payroll/HR BA’s
  • Provide in-depth functional knowledge of PSFT Global Payroll.
  • Ability to articulate business requirements clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work within the Agile approach
  • Provide Australian & NZ Payroll/HR subject matter expertise
  • Ensure total product compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations through the analysis of each tax and legislative change and production of Business Analysis & Functional specifications (as required)
  • Organization and communication of such information, clearly disclosing the details needed for product specialists and subscribing clients to make necessary system changes when necessary
  • Serve as a liaison between the APAC Tax and Regulatory team and the Development & QA teams as well as our client base, ensuring accurate dissemination of information.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure adherence to the functional specification and that all requirements are being satisfied
  • Formulate test strategies, review test plans, and perform system tests working with the QA team to ensure high quality deliverables

 

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

Minimal Qualifications

  • Australia, Japan, S. Korea or Taiwan

 

Education

  • Degree in Business, IT or related discipline

Experience  

  • Minimum 8 years on PSFT Australia Global Payroll (configuration, functional)
  • Minimum 10 years as a Senior Business Analyst
  • Minimum 8 years on PSFT Australia Global Payroll (configuration, functional)
  • Experience in other Global Payroll APAC countries looked upon favourably
  • Experienced in Agile (2 + years), preferably a Certified Scrum Master
  • Experience working in Jira for Agile (preferred not mandatory)
  • Experienced (minimum 5 years) in managing remote teams preferably BA’s in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various teams based in the APAC region and globally as required
  • Have a client focussed or consultative approach
  • Be committed to excellence and high quality standards
  • Capable of leading a team and mentoring more inexperienced BA’s if necessary
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines, remaining calm under pressure
  • Ability to work remotely/virtually with other team members and travel occasionally for project team meetings if required
