Position Summary

 

The Sr. Director, Global IT Infrastructure is a technical leader position. In this position you will oversee a team of seasoned infrastructure managers and individual contributors across the globe that are responsible for Rimini Street’s systems, networks and cloud infrastructures. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background with a mix of extensive IT leadership experience.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Extensive background building and managing large, global system, network and telecom operations
  • Provide leadership for Systems, Networks, Telecom and Cloud Infrastructure teams
  • Strong technical experience with systems and networks such as network/firewall, Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory and Exchange / Office 365
  • Ensure system performance, reliability and availability according to SLAs, resolve problems in a timely manner and escalate when necessary
  • Overall management of IT Operational projects, including system and network implementation/upgrades
  • Manage the technology direction and tools of the team, ensuring that appropriate standards are set, documented, maintained and followed
  • Work with IT teams and vendors to architect the deployment of new technology
  • Work as part of the IT leadership team to identify, define, and prioritize IT investments required to meet the strategic objectives of the company
  • Develop, implement and maintain corporate datacenters, private and public cloud and network infrastructure
  • Implement new systems capabilities in support of business initiatives
  • Implement monitoring and develop metrics to measure department performance
  • Report operation performance through defined metrics and reports on a monthly basis

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

Minimal Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Appropriate industry and technology certificates and additional training to ensure state-of-the-art awareness in the latest systems and trends

 

Experience  

  • 15+ years strong experience delivering IT operations services
  • 10+ years of proven leadership at a senior level directing a team of managers and direct reports (managing managers)
  • Experience working in a global organization
