    Position Summary

    As the Director, Product Management for Security Solutions, you will guide the strategy and product requirements of initiatives that align closely to client’s needs and objectives and then make sure they fit into Rimini Street's business model. You will collaborate closely with Product Marketing and Corporate Marketing to help them understand technical aspects of products, product positioning, benefits and target customers for Rimini Street support offerings.


    Top candidates will be well-versed and experienced in managing product line life cycles from strategic planning to tactical activities of service-oriented solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy with the ability to develop new ideas based on industry and customer experience. In addition, the candidate must enjoy spending time in the market to understand client problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    The Director, Product Management for Security Services will focus a majority of his/her time on defining strategic product requirements, positioning, key benefits, and identifying the target customer base for product support services at Rimini Street.

    • Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
    • Benchmark competitive solutions and market forces to derive product implications
    • Specify market requirements and product definitions for current and future products by conducting market research
    • Partner with development and design on product requirements and focus on delivering value to clients early and often
    • Work closely with Partner Management to research and identify suitable partner alliances to build out partner ecosystem.
    • Communicate clearly and frequently with internal stakeholders through clear articulation of the value proposition and to promote buy in and product awareness
    • Deliver technical aspects of new and updated products to Product Marketing team
    • Assist Product Marketing organization with the development of annual and quarterly marketing planning to drive demand for Rimini Street Support Services.
    • Responsible for reviewing product data to ensure that the field force is kept up to date on new developments regarding the companies or competitors’ products
    • Responsible for identifying and providing the sales organizations with the necessary technical expertise to enable and promote product sales

    Minimal Qualifications  



    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field, MBA preferred


    • Minimum 5+ years of product management experience
    • Experience with layered security solutons and/or application and database security
    • Experience with Identity Management Solutions, such as Okta
    • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
    • Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for quality work
    • Strength in working with varied groups including executive management, operations, and marketing teams
    • Quick learner and must be able to respond to a variety of sales and marketing inquiries with tight deadlines
    • Ability to easily interact with a demanding group of sales and marketing team members, appropriately juggling requests from different individuals
    • Demonstrate high level of energy/self-starter


    • Prioritization and problem solving skills – Ability to listen and solve problems quickly but also have the creativity and insight to the changing market requirements.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills - Ability to represent product requirements and strategic priorities to senior executives, sales, customers, top prospects, analysts and press
    • Excellent relationship building skills - Ability to work across the entire organization with senior leaders to build consensus on product management priorities is a must. Must be able to develop and sustain relationships with key influencers, customers, top prospects and analysts
    • Strategic and Tactical skillset - Ability to demonstrate both business and technical savvy as well as strategic and detail oriented points of views to the business and industry.
