    Position Summary

     

    We are experiencing positive regional growth and actively seeking a Regional Manager to lead our entry into the South East Asian (SEA) Region.

     

    This role will lead and build our sales force and enable it to accelerate our growth and extend our leadership position in the independent software support market.  The Regional Manager will personally launch the region and then build a team of 2-5 Senior Account Executives.  As a ‘player/coach’ the Regional Manager will hire, train and lead this sales team and ensure sales targets are met.  Rimini Street has been very successful globally, with 2017 revenue growth exceeding 30 percent.  Rimini Street’s growth in Asia has been even higher than the global figures.

     

    This is a quota carrying position.  For the first year, the Regional Manager will launch the region personally.  Then as Senior Account Executives are added to the team, the quota will be the sum of a small individual quota and the factored sum of the quota of the direct reports.

     

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Supporting the Managing Director of for the APAC Region, by growing, mentoring, and leading a subset of the region’s Sales Team
    • Develop and execute against a plan to exceed quota targets every quarter
    • Collaborate with Leadership Team in setting sales strategy and growth objectives
    • Recruit, train and develop sales staff
    • Represent and present Rimini Street at Regional CIO and Analyst conferences
    • Guide prospects to the Rimini Street solution through a Solution Selling approach
    • Prepare and provide weekly forecasts to the Managing Director APAC
    • Ensure that sales activities are updated, current and tracked in Salesforce.com
    • Travel plays a part in this role. We expect the Director to travel as needed (about 25%) for sales opportunities
    • Reinforce and extend the unique and strong Rimini Street culture
    • Contribute to best practices across the APAC Sales Theater

    Qualifications/Skills/Experience

    Minimal Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (depending on geography) from accredited institution

    Experience

    • 10+ years in a sales management or equivalent role with a proven track record of driving strong sales results against target plans. Prefer experience overseeing high growth software or software-related services businesses
    • 5+ years experience selling enterprise software and services and "building new markets or businesses" either in start-up environments or working for international enterprise software companies
    • Team selling environment
    • Proven experience in team-selling, as this role will require you to spend at least 50% of your time selling with your team and coaching them to develop, manage and close sales deals
    • Proven experience in opening new accounts, which includes cold-calling and lead prospecting and development
    • Experience managing teams of quota bearing high-volume sales reps across multiple states. Specifically, sales management experience in the corporate market and Enterprise markets with focus selling to Enterprises larger than $1B in annual revenues

    • Strong sales management fundamentals- understanding sales methodologies including solution selling, the Salesforce.com platform and sales motivations
    • Cold-calling, lead prospecting and development

    • Co-ordination with marketing and services delivery to ensure all elements of the business are working in harmony.
