    Position Summary


    The Sr. Manager, Global Payroll is responsible for providing financial, analytical services and payroll management.  This includes processing, monitoring payments and preparing payroll for US employees and International payroll review.  Payments of employees and vendors will be expected in an efficient, timely manner.  The right candidate is a motivated, self-starter with several years of hands-on experience processing payroll, understands relevant tax laws, SOX compliance and is looking to grow and be part of a rapid, flourishing company.


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Using ADP WFN, perform day to day processing of payroll transactions to ensure that finances and records are maintained in an accurate, timely manner as well as follow all SOX and government regulations
    • Process and review US payroll
    • Manage International payroll, including review and approval of payroll and coordination with vendors
    • Manage payroll staff, payroll analysts/coordinators
    • Have a solid understanding of state and federal tax regulations and compliance
    • Maintain ongoing relationship with ADP to ensure all records are accurate
    • Data entry of various payroll transactions including new hires, terms, garnishments, special stipends, LOA’s
    • Manage all employee payroll deductions including benefits, ESPP and 401K
    • FSA and HSA Administration
    • Maintain Domestic and International PTO plan accruals and compliance
    • Maintain Hourly Time Card processes
    • Prepare manual checks as needed
    • Responsible for all aspects of month-end and quarter-end close as it relates to payroll
    • Prepare all payroll related journal entries and accruals for finance team
    • Partner with stock administration to ensure all stock transactions are being recorded accurately domestically and internationally
    • Work with internal and external auditors
    • Annual 401k 5500 testing and audit
    • Annual Worker’s Comp audit
    • Year-end tax reconciliation process and timely distribution of accurate W-2’s
    • Assist in annual benefits open enrollment
    • Company Bonus Plan management
    • Serve as subject matter expert in the operation of the payroll system ADP WFN
    • Point person for employee payroll related inquiries
    • Manage Payroll tax agency inquiries


     Additional Duties & Responsibilities

    • Prepare special reports as needed
    • Manage HR metrics for GVP
    • Assist in special project as assigned by management
    • Other duties as assigned


    Minimal Qualifications  


    U.S Citizenship is Required



    • Bachelor's Degree or related payroll processing or accounts payable experience 



    Pleasanton, CA; Las Vegas, NV or Chicago, IL



    •  10+ plus years of experience required working with U.S & global payroll
    •  7+ years of experience managing a team of direct reports.
    •  5+ years of recent experience using ADP Workforce Now System


    • Strong knowledge of Global Payroll processing
    • Solid understanding of payroll tax laws
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Able to maintain confidential information
    • Excellent Excel skills
    • Clear written and verbal communications
    • Good time management skills
    • Ability to work well within a team environment
    • Detail oriented
