    Position Summary

     

    The role of the Business Analyst is to work with Support and Development team and provide Functional Design document of the issues / enhancements related to Oracle eBusiness Suites Financials and HRMS related modules. The position has the responsibility for researching, analyzing and documenting the issues and enhancements requested / reported by global support team and clients. The role also has the responsibility of testing, planning and project managing the delivery of bug fixes and enhancements. The role of the Business Analyst requires the functional and technical expertise and skills to diagnose serious system/business issues, document and design solution approach, test, package and deliver fixes for such issues in complex, integrated and highly-configured environments.

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

    • Work closely with Support Team, customers and development team on a daily basis to understand the customer needs and analyze them when a bug or software enhancement is needed
    • Document the business requirements and solution design for the reported enhancement requests and bug fixes
    • Planning and coordination of solution delivery for the reported enhancements and bug fixes
    • Create scripts to identify, analyze the data issues for development of data fixes
    • Manage multiple delivery of multiple solutions and documents related to multiple stakeholders and clients
    • Be a pro-active contributor to a support organization which is running 24x7x365, this will require the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays and monitoring email regularly outside standard business hours
    • Collaborate with team members in a virtual team environment to extend field experience to different client situations
    • Contribute to the development and management of knowledge-sharing methodologies, diagnostic tools, and creative processes, to improve the client experience

    Qualifications/Skills/Experience

    Minimal Qualifications

     

    Education 

    • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

    Location

    • Hyderabad, India

     

    Experience 

    • 8 - 10 years of relevant Oracle EBS experience in eBusiness Suite Financials and HRMS related modules
    • Experienced in Multiple Implementations, Upgrades and business improvement projects with large corporates using eBusiness Suite
    • Expertise with Oracle EBS 11i & R12, including full life-cycle implementation experience, configuration and administration of the application
    • Knowledge of Oracle maintenance/patching mechanics and EBS architecture
    • Demonstrable history solving complex problems across multiple modules
    • 2-3 years experience in working with Agile Software Development methodologies for planning and scheduling

    Skills

    • Superb trouble-shooting skills and tenacity in problem solving
    • Strong knowledge of key application functionality, tables and relationships
    • Deep knowledge of Oracle EBS customization/extension methodologies
    • Excellent analysis and business flow understanding related Finance and HRMS domain
    • Ability to use various tools (TOAD/SQL Developer) to analyze the data and functionalities
    • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills – verbal & written
    • Attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly
    • Extreme focus on Client satisfaction
    • Ability to work calmly and professionally in high pressure situations
    • The ability to work remotely from a home based office in a virtual environment

    Desired Qualifications 

    • A consulting background, while not mandatory, would be useful
    • Experience with localizations and global implementations would be an advantage
