    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    The Global Data Privacy Analyst will support the Global Compliance Manager in:


    • Developing and managing Rimini Street’s global privacy program and associated compliance

    • Identify and research global data protection regulations and associated practices

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal and regulatory considerations, including awareness of new or revised laws and regulations related to the privacy and security of sensitive data

    • Review and develop internal and external policies, processes and procedures related to data privacy in accordance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements; update existing policies to maintain compliance with evolving requirements

    • Serve as an organization-wide resource on data protection and privacy matters

    • Assist in the development and provision of training for new employees and on-going education of all employees relating to data privacy matters

    • Communicate Rimini Street’s privacy practices in articulate manner to business teams and to clients as necessary

    • Assist with related data privacy incident response and mitigation strategies

    • Interact and support Legal team to ensure appropriate contract provisions in place with regard to the transfer of personal data; both client and vendor agreements



    • Chicago, IL or Pleasanton, CA



    • Bachelor Degree in an appropriate discipline (Computer Science, Law, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications. An advanced degree is preferred

    • CIPP or other privacy related certification a plus


    • 3-5 years of privacy and/or compliance work experience

    • Familiar with global privacy regulations and applicable compliance standards

    • Previous experience developing privacy compliance programs



    • Strong written and verbal communication skills effective across a diverse corporate culture and structure; technical writing skills helpful.

    • Strong organizational, time management and planning skills with excellent attention to detail

    • Build and maintain strong peer relationships, gaining trust and confidence from all levels within the organization.

    • Must be proficient in use of personal computer and business/technical software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

    • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of company and employee information accessed as part of the job function

    • Keen attention to detail


    Desired Qualifications

    • Previous experience or familiarity with IT or Information Security

    • Ability to think critically and make clear, responsible and well-reasoned decisions.

    • Self-starter who is able to take initiative with process improvement and documentation

    • Well-developed presentation and communication skills; effective working with clients both internal and external.

    • Experience working with internal and external customers.

    • Understanding of technologies related to data protection and privacy including security monitoring, data encryption, data masking, tokenization, identity management and access control

    • Ability to develop relationships based on trust, confidence and respect with customers and colleagues

    • Strong organizational and project management skills with prior project management experience.

    • Ability to multi task multiple issues and tasks

    • Ability to scale with a rapidly growing business including addition of products and countries

    • Ability to travel without restriction both domestically & internationally

    • Ethical with highest standards of integrity
