    Position Summary

    The Manager, Internal Audit will play a critical role in partnering with the business  and providing value added analysis, review, and recommendations to enhance the Company’s Internal Control Over Financial Reporting. The successful candidate should possess a strong work ethic and substantial audit and management experience, demonstrating the technical, administrative, and people skills necessary to effectively perform and manage SOX compliance efforts. The candidate must be a team player, and have a positive attitude. The candidate should also be a self-starter, and help to champion the importance of internal controls and governance concepts throughout the organization.

    This newly created position reports to the Senior Director of Internal Audit and Compliance Frameworks, and will be a member of RSI's Security & Compliance Team.
     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Drive the Company’s SOX Compliance Program
    • Plan and coordinate the annual SOX Compliance Program Schedule
    • Work with and manage a team of in-house and co-sourced resources
    • Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls over key processes related to Sarbanes Oxley and adherence to Corporate Policies and Practices
    • Conduct controls testing and other analysis / documentation
    • Partner with internal stakeholders, consultants, and external auditors to remediate control gaps identified as a result of testing to ensure the effectivness of RSI's controls
    • Ensure proper identification and resolution of issues that have potential operational, financial and compliance risk implications to the Company
    • Assist with conducting a Global Risk Assessment that addresses COSO, ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 framework requirements
    • Monitor completion of committed action plans to ensure follow through and closure of identified risks

       

    Additional Duties and Responsibilities

    • Conduct operational audits, fornensic investigations, and/or other special projects as needed
    • Assist in the evaluation of new processes, policies and systems to determine their impact on the SOX program and design the control landscape based on identified risks
    • Keep current on industry trends and best practices

    Qualifications/Skills/Experience

    Location

    • Pleasanton, CA

       

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
    • Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or CISA.

     

    Minimal Qualifications  

    • Minimum of eight years of experience in operational and financial audit/attestation in a Big Four firm, large global public company, or a combination of both
    • Advanced knowledge in applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices, specifically as it relates to SOX process documentation and flowcharting, control design assessment, test plan design, testing of internal control operational effectiveness and documenting of deficiencies
    • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint with a general understanding of data analysis techniques


    Experience
      

    • At least eight years in operational and financial audit/attestation in a Big Four firm, large global public company, or a combination of both
    • Hands on experience with either moving a private company towards SOX compliance and/or working to maintain an already compliant SOX environment

     

       Skills  

    • Project Management best practices and tools specific to the SOX lifecycle
    • Strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner with minimal supervision
