    Position Summary

     

    The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for data analysis, developing data models and implementing Business intelligence solutions such as QlikView, Tableau, Informatica to enable decision making based on data, reports, analytics for the company. This position will play key role in promoting the value and potential of BI within the organization and provide business process analysis, design, build BI solutions and also, responsible for entire BI reporting cycle from standard report, ad-hoc analysis to dashboards, governance and maintenance.

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities  

    • Identify, analyze, architect  and develop data models, and deliver integrated, scalable BI solutions mainly based out of QlikView.
    • Develop and support data governance processes, analyze, normalize data to identify and articulate trends, patterns, outliers, quality issues, and continuously validate reports, dashboards and suggest improvements.
    • Ability to abstract business issue and using data analysis techniques determine the root cause and possible solutions.
    • Provide research, high-level design and estimates for data transformation and data integration from source applications to end-user BI solutions.
    • Evaluate, design, develop business intelligence reporting and dashboards according to functional specifications while maintaining data integrity and data quality.
    • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to translate business information needs into well-defined data requirements to implement the BI solutions.
    • Leverage transactional information, data from ERP, CRM, HRIS applications to model, extract, and transform into reporting & analytics.
    • Define and document the use of BI through user experience/use cases, prototypes, test, and deploy BI solution.
    • Train business end-users, IT analyst, and developers.

    Additional Duties & Responsibilities 

    • Work cross-functionally to maintain and improve other key business applications such as QlikView, Salesforce, SharePoint, Management reporter, ADP, Adaptive planning.
    • Ability to collaborate in a team environment, while also working independently.

    Qualifications/Skills/Experience

    Education  

    • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.   

    Experience

    • 5-7 Years of experience in analysis, data modeling with BI Applications such as QlikView, Tableau, Informatica, Salesforce Wave Analytics.
    • Knowledge of data analysis techniques, modeling, Entity-relationships. 

    Skills 

    • Experience in defining requirements for metrics/scorecards, dashboards, OLAP analysis, ad-hoc, and structured reports.
    • Advanced with SQL and understanding of multi-dimensional and relational database data organization concepts.
    • Detailed knowledge of BI Best Practices/Methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language (SQL) skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques.
    • Advanced ETL skills with tools.
    • Strong customer service orientation that places high value on customer satisfaction.
    • Strong interpersonal collaboration and team skills including working with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
    • Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
