    Position Summary

    The Director, Competitive Intelligence will oversee all of Rimini Street’s market and competitive initiatives that will inform and shape Rimini Street’s current and future product and go-to-market (GTM) strategies in addition to building and managing our newly developing Competitive Intelligence team.

    Working within the Product Marketing Group and reporting to the GVP of Global Product Marketing and Strategy, the Director will provide market and product competitive intelligence and insights that will position Rimini Street as the undisputed leader in the market. This position requires an intelligent, market-savvy, strategic leader that can work across the key internal stakeholders to deliver critical insights, anticipate market movements, and present informed recommendations that will help prioritize the right product and positioning adjustments and additions, enhance deal success, and position Rimini Street optimally to compete effectively.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Build, manage and oversee a world-class team providing competitive intelligence, insights and strategy recommendations to senior leaders and key stakeholders including Product Strategy, Product Management, Sales and Executive teams.
    • Develop a competitive intelligence framework to monitor market trends, competitor moves and other ecosystem developments that could inform Rimini Street’s positioning and differentiation
    • Develop and apply programs, platforms and tools that help surface and distill market and competitive insights
    • Establish processes to produce, maintain, and accelerate competitive analysis and enablement collateral such as battle cards, playbooks, and competitive presentations
    • Work closely with Product Strategy and Management teams to provide critical product and vendor insights to enable a clear and compelling product and services roadmap
    • Serve as escalation point for deal support situations from the Sales war room and responding to regional/theater requests




    • Undergraduate degree in related discipline. Master’s degree preferred


    •  US Rimini Street office locations – Remote candidates considered



    • 10+ years of experience in the field of Competitive Intelligence measuring and monitoring competition in hi-tech environment; 5+ years of management experience required
    • Proven experience providing market and competitive insights and strategy recommendations to executives, sales and product leaders and key stakeholders
    • Hands-on competitive intel gathering, analysis and presentation of insights experience
    • Demonstrable understanding of competitive intelligence processes and best practices
    • Experience managing, developing and growing a CI/MI practice in-house and/or supplementing information via 3rd party sources. 



    • Excellent communication and presentation skills - Ability to represent competitive insights and to senior executives, sales, product management and marketing leaders
    • Excellent relationship building skills - Ability to work across the entire organization with senior leaders to build consensus on competitive priorities is a must. Must be able to develop and sustain relationships with key influencers within sales, product and marketing teams
    • Trusted advisor - Ability to present new points of views to the business based on market and vendor insights and set the intellectual direction Rimini Street’s competitive strategy
