    We actively seek a Litigation Paralegal resident in our Las Vegas headquarters or in the company’s Greensboro, North Carolina office.  The Litigation Paralegal will be a key member of our Legal Department team and Litigation Practice Group.

    Position Summary

     

    The Litigation Paralegal will assist in-house legal counsel in management of litigation projects, including internal document, file, and docket organization; management of document and electronic discovery projects (including document collection, review, and production); and the preparation of project reports, incorporating project metrics and related analyses.  The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for supporting both the Legal and Executive teams and their internal clients on litigation-related projects and for completing other projects assigned by the supervising attorneys and Associate General Counsel, Litigation, coordinating as necessary with other Litigation/Legal Department support staff.  The position requires performance of legal assignments with a high degree of autonomy, attention to detail, discretion, and mature judgment.

     

    The Litigation Paralegal will be cross-trained to support the US and International transaction teams and legal governance and compliance team on project management tasks. 

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Support in-house counsel in management of various litigation projects, including preparation of court filings, witness preparation, and document review and analyses
    • Prepare summary reports and presentations on status of projects, incorporating relevant metrics and other data and analyses
    • Review and organize pleadings and track case dockets and deadlines in Outlook calendar and Smartsheet project management software
    • Participate and lead conference calls related to Legal Department and litigation projects
    • Manage document and electronic discovery projects, working with internal clients, outside counsel, and third-party providers
    • Assist in preparing responses to discovery requests
    • Participate in litigation and project strategy meetings and conference calls
    • Support projects related to the company’s transactional practice
    • Track and monitor the status of contracts and develop/implement improvements to the contract management process as necessary
    • Assist attorney staff in administration of internal Legal Department request/ticketing system
    • Assist in other Legal Department or company projects and support as may be required from time to time

    Qualifications/Skills/Experience

    Minimum Qualifications

     

    Education

    • Strong preference for four year college degree
    • Preference for paralegal studies certificate

    Location

    • Las Vegas, NV or Greensboro, NC

     

    Experience

    • Experience in e-discovery projects and technology
    • Prior litigation paralegal experience working for major law firms on complex civil litigation
    • Project management experience or certification preferred
    • Familiarity with information technology a plus

     

    Skills

    • Ability to work remotely when not physically present at primary place of employment
    • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, as described above and as modified from time to time based on the needs of the company
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to prepare litigation and other reports
    • Ability to work both independently, as a self-starter with strong work ethic, as well as collaboratively as team player with other internal litigation staff, the General Counsel, and other Legal Department colleagues
    • Excellent judgment and the ability to function and thrive in a company involved in fast-paced, high-stakes litigation and transactions
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent legal research and writing skills required
    • Able to manage multiple priorities with “can do” attitude, work cross-functionally, and meet tight deadlines

     

    Desired Qualifications

    • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
    • Experience with document review software (e.g., Ringtail or Relativity) and other litigation support technology required
    • Experience with GoToMeeting a plus
    • Personable, self-starting team player with a friendly demeanor and sense of humor
    • Proactive, organized, self-motivated, and self-disciplined
    • Willing and able to work in a fast-paced, emerging technology company environment
