    Position Summary


    The role of the Vice President, Cloud Services is to develop the business of Cloud Services business for Rimini Street from the ground up. The position has the responsibility for researching demand and market data for competitive offerings, assess current clients pains and necessities, and develop a strong go to market strategy. The VP, Cloud Services will also be responsible for developing the practice, including but not limited to, developing the resource requirements (teams and tools) for each region within Rimini Street’s global footprint, collaborate with legal to develop the client SOW´s, collaborate with marketing for developing the promotional material and with our sales teams to train and equip them with sales arguments. The VP, Cloud Services will also responsible for the Cloud P&L globally and is expected to maintain the margin, growth and profitability targets set together with the company.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Start a cloud services practice from scratch that includes offing cloud migration services to public Infrastructure-as-a-Service platforms (AWS, Azure) and day-to-cay cloud managed services.
    • Lead the architecture, deployment, automation, maintenance, and management of mission-critical cloud-based production systems (i.e. AWS and Azure) to ensure availability, performance, and scalability.
    • Manage complex customer-facing projects on-time and with high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Develop tools and practices to optimize public cloud provider´s client billing, including the selection and management of Reserved Instances.
    • Create and evolve run books to facilitate efficient management and troubleshooting of IT systems, continuously looking to automate issue resolution and root-cause analysis.
    • Develop and manage complex service matrixes and portfolios for clients globally.
    • Ensure the services will follow Rimini Street´s high standard SLAs and quality.
    • Develop and nurture a talent inflow for company´s resource needs.
    • Oversee, sell, position cloud migration projects and on-going managed services.
    • Partner with development teams to help drive adoption of Hybrid Cloud solutions
    • Oversee and lead multiple cloud projects, managing internal and subcontracted teams.
    • Identify key trends and emerging technologies that can enhance or impact the solution architecture to drive efficiency and/or maximize the value of our Client offering.
    • Produce technical white papers for creating and generating demand in the market for cloud services.
    • Appear at Rimini Street´s public events like Gartner or Forrester and speak on behalf of the company about the advantages of Cloud Services with Rimini.
    • Partner with development teams to help drive adoption of Hybrid Cloud solutions.
    • Oversee and lead multiple cloud projects, managing internal and subcontracted teams.
    • Identify key trends and emerging technologies that can enhance or impact the solution architecture to drive efficiency and/or maximize the value of our Client offering.

    • Preferred:  Pleasanton, CA or Dallas, TX


    • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
    • MBA, MSc or PHD in business development will be a plus
    • Specialization in Strategic Management of Technological Innovation will be a plus



    • 15+ years relevant experience with infrastructure and operations management
    • 15+ years experience with DataCenter Operations both in house and outsourced
    • 5+ years experience both in Private Cloud and Public Cloud environment
    • 3+ years successful start ups both internally (intra entrepreneurship) and externally
    • Working knowledge of multiple databases (Oracle, SQL, etc) and corporate applications (ERP, CRM, etc.)
    • A track record of successful roles in 5 or more Major Cloud Projects
    • Deep working knowledge and understanding of supporting business processes
    • Knowledge of maintenance/patching mechanics and ERP architecture
    • Proven experience in building NOC´s, SOC´s and any Command and Control Panels for I&O



    • Superb trouble-shooting skills and tenacity in problem solving
    • Analytical, logical problem resolution skills
    • Passionate focus on customer support and the ability to build long term, successful working relationships with Clients
    • Proven Experience in building and growing a cloud services practice
    • Proven experience is scoping projects, ensuring success of cloud migration and managed services, lift-and-shift methodology for SAP and Oracle large ERP products as well as known databases like Oracle, DB2, Hana, SQL, etc.
    • Deep experience with public clouds like AWS, Azure and GCP as well as private cloud providers with global and local scale

    Desired Qualifications

    • The best candidates will have extensive knowledge of infrastructure & cloud migration engagements, including cloud migration strategy, application cloud suitability/readiness assessment, migration planning, sourcing options, business case and execution coordination
    • Candidates with AWS and Azure certifications will have preference
    • Understanding of IT security concepts and practices such as virtual patching, containerizations, cloud security, encryptions, identity management
    • Knowledge of ERP Industry Solutions would be an advantage
    • Knowledge of any Country Specific Solutions would be an advantage
    • A consulting background, while not mandatory, would be useful
    • Solution selling trained and / or certified will be a plus
