    Position Summary


    The role of the Director, Strategic Services for Latin America is to develop, lead, and extend the capabilities of Rimini Street’s Strategic Services to Latin America. The position will lead new business development of IT services that add to Rimini Street’s global and local portfolios.  This person will have the task to develop the IT business services from the ground up.


    The Director has the responsibility for researching demand and market data for competitive offerings, assess customer requirements, and develop a strong go-to market strategy.  The Director will act within the scope and strategy of the company and be responsible for bringing innovative ideas for additional services that generate revenue for the company as well as contribute to current client retention.  The Director will establish a practice, developing resource requirements (teams and tools) for LatAm, collaborating with legal to develop client SOW´s, working with marketing to develop promotional material, and providing sales teams with appropriate training materials. This role is expected to develop new offerings for infrastructure and ERP (SAP, Oracle) level 2 managed services support, as well as position Rimini Street’s existing security solutions, software asset management solutions, mobility products and cloud services for ERP platforms.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Start a managed service offering in the way of infrastructure and ERP (SAP, Oracle) level 2 helpdesk support
    • Oversee a helpdesk team to ensure excellent customer service and execution of contractual service level obligations
    • Act as pre-sales support for the sales teams by removing any technical objections from prospects regarding Rimini Street’s support services
    • Research, in conjunction with sales and client engagement, client´s pains and objections and propose possible solutions Rimini Street can offer to solve them
    • Develop business cases including value proposition, staffing, revenue projection, and implementation plans for new services within Rimini Street strategy
    • Develop partnerships with local suppliers to complement Rimini Street´s delivery capacity
    • Develop all documentation for services including operational procedures, statements of work, contracts, and all business templates
    • Define resource teams, write job descriptions, approve requisitions and actively interview candidates for the new services within Rimini Street´s portfolio
    • Assist with developing sales materials including value proposition pitch decks and budgetary proposal templates
    • Train the sales teams for the new offerings
    • Develop proposals including quoting tools (transform quoting into an automatic process) and any sales support materials
    • Identify key trends and emerging technologies that can enhance or impact the solution architecture to drive efficiency and/or maximize the value of our client offering
    • Produce technical white papers for creating and generating demand in the market for services
    • Oversee and lead multiple projects, managing internal and subcontracted teams


    Additional Duties and Responsibilities

    • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree highly desired
    • LEAN or Six Sigma certification, preferred
    • ITIL and COBIT certification, highly desired
    • AWS and Azure certifications, preferred

    • 15+ years of experience with leading Managed Services within the ERP Software Industry
    • 10+ years establishing and developing and leading managed services or cloud migration projects
    • Strong background in Information Security with the ability to lead client discussions regarding  Security Issues related to Oracle, SAP and similar Software Products & Databases.
    • Proven experience is scoping ERP Projects and designing solutions for clients
    • Knowledge of large ERP products as well as known databases like Oracle, DB2, Hana, SQL, etc.
    • Proven experience in ERP application support as well as ERP software factories
    • Experience with public clouds product slike AWS, Azure and GCP as well as private cloud providers with global and local scale
    • Some experience in Pre-sales being able to build business plans including revenue projections, expenses, present and future value calculations
    • Demonstrated experience in developing proposals and presenting solutions to clients



    • Excellent fluency in English - both written and verbal
    • Superb trouble-shooting skills and tenacity in problem solving
    • Passionate focus on customer support and the ability to build long term, successful working relationships with Clients
    • Ability to assist in pre-sales efforts and clearly articulate value for the client (hard savings, soft savings, revenue increase and brand good will)


    Additional Preferred Qualifications

    • Extensive knowledge of infrastructure & cloud migration engagements, including cloud migration strategy, application cloud suitability/readiness assessment, migration planning, sourcing options, business case and execution coordination
    • Experience managing successful cloud migration and managed services, lift-and-shift methodology for SAP and Oracle
    • Understanding of IT security concepts and practices such as virtual patching, containerizations, cloud security, encryptions, identity management
    • Knowledge of ERP Industry Solutions
    • Knowledge of any Country Specific Solutions
    • A consulting background
    • Solution selling trained and / or certified
