    Position Summary

     

    The Rimini Street Associate Environment Analyst provides support to the Global Client Environments Engineers in implementing remote access for new client’s Onboarding by testing & validating remote access including the review of remote access documents and ensuring all the required information & processes are available in the remote access document.  The Associate Environment Analyst also provides ongoing support to Global Product Delivery teams by proactively validating remote access and reporting any issues to Environment Analysts by logging Environment tickets.

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop experience with hands-on configuration, installation, troubleshooting ERP application and support tools including Putty, Oracle Developer Suite, BI Publisher and other similar tools
    • Develop experience in solving complex issues using methodical troubleshooting based on expert knowledge of Windows, Unix, Citrix, Remote Desktop, Application Tool functionality
    • Diagnose and resolve authentication issues related to network connectivity, application access
    • Review Remote Access Documents for different product lines and testing the remote access to ensure all the applications/tools are installed with necessary accesses on client environments and also testing the login credentials
    • Communicating with support engineers & Developers and assisting them with remote access
    • Completing any assigned projects accurately and on time
    • Maintaining and updating the Archive SharePoint site to ensure the client is up-to-date and Archive location is updated
    • Create/update remote access documents with user-friendly instructions
    • Ensure remote access documentation is complete and follows standards required to maintain ISO 9000/9001 certification

     

    Qualifications/Skills/Experience

     

    Education

    • Bachelor and/or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field

     

    Experience

    • Experience working in an dynamic, fast-paced technological environment
    • Experience in a customer facing support role
    • Experience working with multiple desktop and server operating systems and web based applications
    • Experience working with VMware platform
    • Experience working with SharePoint

     

    Skills

    • Windows XP/7 desktop administration. Windows 2000/2003/2008 server architecture
    • Familiarity with multiple remote access clients such as Citrix Xenapp Server, Juniper, Cisco VPN client
    • Experience with network support, ability to troubleshoot and diagnose connectivity and performance issues
    • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills are required
    • Familiarity with Unix/Linux platform and command line syntax
    • Excellent knowledge in MS word, Excel & PowerPoint
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    • Ability to communicate well with internal and external contacts
    • Should be flexible working in shifts

     

    Desired Qualifications

    • MCSE certified
    • A+ certified
    • 2+ years of experience working with ERP applications
