    Position Summary

     

    The Manager, SAP Payroll is responsible for marrying in-depth product (SAP Payroll) expertise with the latest tax and regulatory changes to produce system impact specifications and test strategies for Development & QA.  The position will follow each tax and regulatory change from discovery through successful translation into an application update. This role is vital in providing high quality deliverables to our clients and keeping their mission-critical enterprise

    applications compliant.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide in-depth functional knowledge of SAP Payroll
    • Ability to articulate business requirements clearly and concisely
    • Ability to work within the Agile framework
    • Provide deep Australian & NZ Payroll/HR subject matter expertise
    • Ensure total product compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations through the analysis of each tax and legislative change
    • Organization and communication of such information, clearly disclosing the details needed for product specialists and subscribing clients to make necessary system changes when necessary
    • Serve as a liaison between the APAC Tax and Regulatory BA team and the Development & QA teams as well as our total client base, ensuring accurate dissemination of information
    • Work closely with the development team to ensure adherence to the User Stories (under Agile) and that all requirements are being satisfied
    • Formulate test strategies, review test plans, and perform system tests working with the QA team to ensure high quality deliverables
    • Lead the Tax & Regulatory APAC SAP Payroll team

    Qualifications/Skills/Experience

    Location

    • Australia or New Zealand

      

    Education

    • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in IT or Business (desirable)
    • Certified Payroll Specialist (CPS) qualification from The Association of Payroll Specialists (desirable)
    • NZPPA Certified Payroll Professional (desirable)
    • Agile certification (Certified Scrum Master, desirable)

     

    Experience  

    • 10+ years on SAP Australian & NZ Payroll (functional essential, configuration desirable)
    • Experienced in managing multiple Australian and NZ Payroll systems

     

    Desired Experience

    • 2+ years working with Agile
    • Working in Jira for Agile
