    Position Summary

    Rimini Street’s Global Bids and Proposal Management team is seeking an experienced Content Manager to write and manage effective and persuasive content to assist our sales teams in selling Rimini Street’s world-class support and services offerings. The right candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit; drive to identify and develop new proposal tools and content with a proven track record of success; and ability to research, develop, and document key sales messaging, manage the proposal content database and work with subject matter experts (SMEs) throughout the organization to obtain up-to-date information on Rimini Street’s products and services while ensuring content is compliant and well-organized. This role will be key to assisting Rimini Street’s sales teams and proposal managers with developing winning proposals.

    The Content Manager will report directly to the Sr. Proposal Manager in charge of Global Proposal operations. The Content Manager will work closely and in cooperation with the Sr. Proposal Manager to expand and scale proposal content, resources and tools to support global sales operations.

    The ideal candidate will have a track record of 3-5 years’ success managing a content database, working closely with subject matter experts (product marketing and management) and sales teams to develop competitive and winning proposal content while having created scalable tools and processes for sales and marketing teams.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Initiate the development of strong relationships with SMEs throughout the organization and other proposal stakeholders.
    • Assist the Sr. Proposal Manager with creating the process and guidelines for updating and developing content, to include:
      • Working with proposal managers to gather and develop new content through the RFP process and ensuring content is well vetted and approved prior to being added to the content database.
      • Reviewing and editing content for compliance, accuracy, messaging, value, grammar, style, and consistency with other marketing materials.
      • Scheduling content reviews to ensure all data points and content are up-to-date. 
      • Implementing a verification process for multi-layered content creation, reviews and approvals where numerous teams are involved such as product marketing, service delivery and legal.
    • Collaborate with SMEs to improve existing content, integrating benefit and persuasive, value oriented themes.
    • Coach and work with SMEs and Proposal team to develop content to illustrate Rimini Street’s services are superior to the competitors.
    • Provide direction and thought leadership to proposal contributors such as developing outlines, templates and idea mapping to assist with content creation.
    • Create and contribute to standard proposal templates and automated documents such as executive summaries and support overviews and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure Rimini Street is positioned with persuasive and compelling win themes, differentiators, and value propositions.
    • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to gain an appropriate understanding of the sales strategy and how it clearly conveys the proper business perspective, key messages, value proposition, and differentiators against our competition.
    • Serve as a resource and support to proposal managers and sales teams for ad-hoc requests and non-standard responses.
    • Establish content naming conventions, logical folder structures and custom content properties within the content database.
    • Develop templates and formats to comply with RFP requirements
    • Establishes and creates content guidelines and standards
    • Support proposal managers in executing proposal processes
    • Leverage qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to tell a holistic story
    • Provide insight, leadership, and guidance to all proposal stakeholders

    • 5+ years overall experience working within a proposal management, sales or marketing team
    • 3-5+ years demonstrated, proven experience as a content writer/manager within the enterprise software, IT solutions or technology space
    • Excellent knowledge of the enterprise software industry
    • ERP/Cloud industry experience preferred
    • Experience working in a fast paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Experience creating competitive positioning content highlighting the benefits to a specific client scenario
    • Experience in creation and design of automated documents and data flows
    • Experience in Qvidian Proposal Management tool and/or Seismic Sales and Marketing Enablement tool, preferred
    • Experience in a leadership a role, with advanced skills in proposal and content development and ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities.
    • Experience managing Requests for Proposal (RFPs) through the public procurement process and within the high tech / software industry (is a plus, but not mandatory)


    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate tasks and objectives to all members of the proposal team and SME’s
    • Passionate focus on supporting sales teams in their winning deals and ability to build long term, successful working relationships with internal colleagues       
    • Advanced desktop publishing skills including; Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDF Reader/Writer
    • Mastery of Microsoft Word (tables, formatting, fonts, graphics, etc.)
    • Advanced skills in writing, editing, and proofreading
    • Content management experience in a proposal writing environment is preferred.
    • Knowledge of applicable processes, methodologies, standards, products and frameworks
    • Must have the ability to work with a global team
    • Must have the ability to work under tight deadlines with the flexibility to work on several projects concurrently
    • Must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Must be willing to work extended hours when necessary
    • Must have the ability to understand business and technical requirements; technical writing experience is a plus
    • Excellent relationship development skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at any level throughout the organization.
